(Image: Photo of labyrinth at University of Utah)PARK CITY -- A group of park city residents are pushing for a public labyrinth to help people have a place to meditate during tough times.

Mary Wintzer is leading a group of women who really want to see a labyrinth in Park City, but not the kind you can get lost in.

"A labyrinth is just a path that's either out of rocks, or it's out of stones," Wintzer explained.

The idea is people meditate as they quietly walk its winding path. "It really helps with emotional and spiritual healing," Wintzer said.

She says her group will raise the money to build it on their own, they are just asking the city's public art board for a spot to put it.

Labyrinths aren't new to Utah. The University of Utah has one, and there's one along the Jordan River Parkway, among other places.
