SALT LAKE CITY -- A birthday celebration ended Thursday morning with a man reportedly getting stabbed by his wife.
Officers responded to the City Park apartments near 750 West and 900 North around 3 a.m.
They say the couple had started arguing, and then the woman stabbed the man, who was celebrating his birthday, with what appeared to be a steak knife.
He was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Officers arrested his wife. She faces charges of aggravated assault domestic violence.
Police say the couple has been married six months.
