SALT LAKE CITY -- A reality show star may have gotten her amazing singing voice from being a huge fan of one of the Osmonds.
Susan Boyle became an overnight sensation after appearing on the TV show "Britain's Got Talent." Video of her performance now has been viewed 100 million times online.
Now a British newspaper, the Sunday Mirror, says she owes her dazzling voice to a teenage obsession with Donny Osmond.
Boyle's brother, Gerard, says as a teenager, she listened to Donny's records over and over again, singing along as loudly as possible and practicing in front of the mirror. He says she had Donny Osmond posters on the walls of her room.
Gerard also tells the paper Susan knew Osmond's 1972 hit "Puppy Love" and others by heart. The paper reports she also listened to the soundtrack to "Grease."
