SALT LAKE CITY -- A woman is in very critical condition after a two car accident at the intersection of 800 South and 300 West.

Police believe the white sedan ran a red light around 3:15 p.m. Friday, hit a mini-van then smashed into a power pole.

The 40-year-old woman driving the white sedan is in very critical condition. Officers don't believe she was wearing a seat belt and say that could have contributed to the severity of her injuries.

The woman driving the minivan and her passenger, a little girl, were not seriously injured.
