OREM, Utah (AP) -- A woman has been arrested in the theft of 26-thousand dollars worth of merchandise from Overstock-dot-com.
Police say the 20-year-old worked for Sento Corporation, which had a contract with Overstock-dot-com to take its orders and complaints.
Between now and July, officers say the woman created fictitious accounts under relatives' and friends' names. She then assigned "credit certifications" to the fictitious accounts and used the certificates to buy stuff on Overstock-dot-com.
Police say her employers has since fired her, and she was arrested and booked into jail for investigation of communication fraud.
