(KSL News) -- A Salt Lake City police officer is on paid administrative leave, accused of assault from a fight outside a West Valley gym. It happened in August in the parking lot of Gold's Gym, on 3400 West and 3500 South.

The alleged victim says police officer Marcus J. Barrett got angry with him after a game of pickup basketball. The man says during the scuffle with Barrett, he called 9 -1- 1.

Officer, 911 Call: "Do you know who I am?"
Man: "I don't."
Officer:"See that _______ car right there?"
Man:"Yeah."
Officer: "What does that make me?"
Man:"Cop."
Officer:"A police officer. What exactly do you call this right here?"
Man: "I don't know."
Officer:"Get out of the car if you don't get out of the car I will put you under arrest for resisting. Now get out of the car."

Prosecutors in West Valley charged Barrett with assault, unlawful detention and disorderly conduct.
