(KSL News) - Salt Lake County deputies are investigating a stabbing in the southeast part of the valley. Deputies say two men got into a fight and one man who lived in a house on East Craig Drive was stabbed multiple times.
Kris Ownby, Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office: "The suspect fled the residence. We were told he re-armed himself with the knife that was used and fled the residence on foot. The deputies who were responding in the area were able to, from the suspect description that was provided by the occupants, were able to locate the suspect just north of here."
That suspect is Kenneth Lankford. Investigators say he had stayed at the house temporarily at one time.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Deputies are not commenting on whether they found that knife. They also have no motive yet and they don't know if this was about drugs or alcohol.
Witnesses and deputies say there have been problems at this home in the past.
