SALT LAKE CITY -- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced Monday it will soon release a Latter-day Saint version of the Holy Bible in Spanish.
Church leaders say the text of this Spanish Bible is based on the 1909 Reina-Valera Spanish Bible, which Church leaders, teams of translators, professional linguists and qualified Church members had reviewed.
The new edition modernizes some of the outdated grammatical constructions and vocabulary. It also includes footnotes, cross-references and study helps.
The Church plans to publish its Spanish Bible this September and will also make it available in electronic and audio formats. [Click here for more information on the LDS Spanish Bible]
