(KCSG/KSL News) -- A judge's ruling will reform the fundamentalist LDS Church's trust, allowing followers in Hildale, Utah and Colorado City, Arizona to own property for the first time.
The Deseret Morning News is reporting the judge's ruling came down late Wednesday afternoon. The judge's trust reform plan would privatize both communities and allow residents to control property and money.
A former follower of FLDS leader Warren Jeffs, says he expected the decision.
A judge took control of the trust in 2005, due to claims Jeffs was defrauding it. Right now, Jeffs is in Washington County's jail on charges of rape as an accomplice.
