MIDVALE -- Midvale police tracked down a man who ran from officers early Tuesday morning.

Police say the suspect was driving erratically near 7200 South and 900 East around 3 a.m. Officers followed him to an apartment complex parking lot where he got out of his car and ran.

Police set up a containment and called in the dogs. They eventually found him hiding under a stairwell, but he refused to surrender.

Police dogs went in after him, and officers were able to arrest the man.

They say he ran because he had a revoked driver's license, was carrying two concealed weapons and drug paraphernalia. His name was not immediately released.
