ST. GEORGE -- Police in St. George say two men came close to beating a 38-year-old man to death inside a motel.
Steven Michael Adamescu, 31, and Carl Leslie Ellison, 18, are in the Purgatory Correctional Facility, charged with attempted aggravated murder.
The attack happened at the Economy Inn on 525 E. St. George Blvd., early Monday morning.
St. George police say the victim and his attackers were all transients and staying together inside the motel room.
There was a dispute was over who was in charge of the hotel room and who got to decide what channel the TV was on.
Police believe alcohol was also a factor.
The victim is in critical condition at a hospital in Las Vegas with severe trauma to the head and back.
