WEST VALLEY CITY -- A woman led police on a long, drawn out chase before finally being taken into custody in West Valley City Wednesday morning.

Police say 26-year-old Camilia Moore was in jail on fraud and forgery charges. A judge let her out of jail last year, just before Christmas, so she could spend time with her children. The only problem was she never came back.

Officers first saw her dropping off a person at Redwood Elementary at 2650 S. Redwood Road Wednesday morning. When they went to arrest her, she took off in her car, ramming a police car, jumping a curb, then speeding through a red light at 3800 South and Redwood Road.

Officers called off the pursuit at that point, but later found her car abandoned at a house on Kirkham Way in Taylorsville.

Police believe Moore was picked up by an accomplice, but they were eventually able to track her to 9000 South and 400 West, where they arrested her.

Moore then supplied officers with information about her boyfriend and a check forging operation at a the Day's Inn at 3300 South and 300 West.

A SWAT team was called in at the Day's Inn. There, police arrested Moore's boyfriend, Fepruari Filo. They also found evidence in the room of their operation.

Investigators say Moore was wearing a wig when they first saw her at Redwood Elementary, and they found several wigs in her car.

Officers also say she is responsible for stealing mail from several homes throughout the Salt Lake Valley, resulting in lots of identity theft cases.
