UTAH COUNTY -- Police have arrested a Utah County man for rape, kidnapping and a list of other charges after they say he sexually abused two teenage girls for three years.

Jason Hawkins, 38, was arrested Friday night after police say one of the teenage girls told a Department of Child and Family Services worker about the ongoing abuse. The teen said Hawkins was a family friend.

Court documents say the suspect would give two teenage girls, money, drugs and use of a phone in exchange for sex acts and to allow him to take nude pictures of the girls.

"This continued over several years. As a matter of fact, he actually threatened them with their well-being if they should say anything," Utah County sheriff's Lt. Dennis Harris said.

According to the affidavit, the man would also lock one of the girls in a room and force her to perform sexual acts.

Harris says one of the victims was 12 years old when the abuse started.

Police are looking to see if there are other victims.
