PROVO, Utah (AP) -- An alleged car burglar who was shot by officers in a police chase earlier this month now faces 30 charges.
Prosecutors have charged 22-year-old Adam Norton with driving under the influence, 15 counts of burglary, seven counts of theft, three counts of criminal mischief, two counts of aggravated assault and other felonies.
Authorities say Norton, who's accused of breaking into cars in the early morning of October eighth, was later shot in the arm by police when he allegedly drove a stolen SUV toward officers. Police say Norton then led officers on a chase through a cemetery and onto a dirt road before getting caught.
His next court appearance will be November ninth.
