(KSL News) -- Demolition plans for the First Security building are being reconsidered.
According to the Deseret Morning News, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is re-evaluating the building's possible uses.
The decision comes after criticism from historic preservationists and other residents.
Just last week a Church spokesman said the building could not be saved and listed a handful of reasons, including the building's outdated design.
No word when a final decision will be made.
