SUNSET -- Police officers picked up a boy from a skate park in Sunset after some skaters called saying the boy was drunk.
Officers say the 11- or 12-year-old boy showed up at the Sunset skate park before noon Saturday with two friends drinking out of a bottle. Those at the park called police. The boy then was taken to Davis Hospital for evaluation.
Officers say this is a perfect example of why alcohol is so dangerous for young kids.
Cpl. Doug Garcia of the Sunset Police Department said, "It really makes them sick and causes a lot of problems for them. I think he probably would have said the same thing."
Police planned to question the boy about where he got the alcohol.
