(KSL News) The Utah man accused of starving his ex-girlfriend's daughter will be in court today for a preliminary hearing.

Court Hearing Today for Man Accused of Starving Girl

Michael Bowden is charged with second degree felony child abuse for starving five-year-old Jade Anzures while her mother served in Iraq.

While in his care, Jade, who has cerebral palsy, dropped from 30 pounds to only 13 pounds.

She has since been released to her mother's care.
