OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- Police have captured a Weber County Jail inmate who escaped a week ago.
Weber County Sheriff's Capt. Klint Anderson says Stephen R. Ball was found Wednesday by adult probation and parole and returned to the jail.
It wasn't clear where Ball, who walked away from a job shoveling snow on jail grounds Feb. 19, was found.
Ball was in jail on a probation violation and had been there since Feb. 12. Anderson says Ball was on community service duty working in an unlocked area.
Ball was part of a 12-person team being supervised by two deputies.
