LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) -- Utah quarterback Brett Ratliff came in to yesterday's (Saturday's) game at Wyoming having NOT been sacked all season.

But he sure didn't go home that way.

The Cowboys' defense sacked Ratliff six times on the way to a 31-to-15 victory, snapping a six-game losing streak to Utah.

Ward Dobbs had two of those sacks, costing Utah 13 yards. John Wendling, Jake Mayes, Aaron Robbins and Sean Claffey had a sack apiece.

Wyoming's defense held Utah scoreless until the third quarter, while the offense built a 31-to-nothing lead. By the time the Utes got on the board, it was too late to make a comeback.

The win boosts the Cowboys to three-and-four, while Utah falls to four-and-three. Both are two-and-one and tied for third in the Mountain West Conference.
