(KSL News) Two chases in one day kept police in Utah and Juab Counties busy.
It all began when officers tried to make a regular traffic stop yesterday, but two women inside the car decided to take off.
A police dash cam recorded video of the chase.
Police believe their running may have to do with drugs or alcohol. The chase ended at a Macy's parking lot in Spanish Fork. Both women are in custody.
Then just hours later, a man called and told a Spanish Fork officer he wanted to hurt himself.
Police say he then stole a Santaquin police car and a chase began. It went clear into Juab County, where police used the radios to talk him into turning around.
Officers spiked his tires and finally stopped him in Salem. The driver is in the Utah County jail.
