(KSL News) The Days of '47 Rodeo is moving to the E-Center, and residents in West Valley City are certainly happy about it!

The big rodeo has been at the Delta Center, now the EnergySolutions Arena, for the past 20 years. It was at the Salt Palace for two decades before that.

Brad Harmon, Chairman, Days of '47 Rodeo, "Now I don't have to permit the street off and stop the flow of traffic. We've got a big parking lot here. And all the cowboys are going to be able to put their trailers right here, so there's some convenience to the cowboys, and I'm sure they're going to appreciate that."

West Valley City Mayor Dennis Nordfelt said,"We are thrilled to welcome this wonderful event to our city. This exciting, fun-filled, family-oriented event is a wonderful celebration of our community, and we are proud to be the event's new home."

The rodeo will run from July 20 to July 25.
