(KSL News) The driver of a stolen car outran officers from several agencies involved in an overnight crackdown on stolen vehicles.
Taylorsville police first spotted a stolen car near 5600 South and Redwood Road, but when they tried to pull the driver over, he took off. They lost him, but a Utah Highway Patrol trooper later spotted him driving recklessly on Interstate 15.
Once again, troopers tried to pull him over but he got away when the trooper hit a barricade, flattening a tire on his car.
Eventually Salt Lake County sheriff's deputies found the car ditched at an apartment complex near 300 East and 4100 South. However they weren't able to find the suspect.
