ROOSEVELT, Utah (AP) -- A hunter was killed this week in an A-T-V accident in a remote area of Duchesne County.
Deputies say the body of 31-year-old Dirk Robert Gilmore was found by some other hunters Wednesday night near 77 Flat in Dry Gulch.
Authorities believe Gilmore was driving on an uneven road when his A-T-V went into a rut and rolled --- leaving him pinned under his A-T-V. So far, it's unknown how long he was trapped underneath the vehicle.
Authorities say speed does NOT appear to be a factor in the accident. An autopsy is now being performed to determine the cause of death.
