KSL Newsradio's Randall Jeppeson reportingTwo students at Spanish Fork Junior High School are being evaluated, after a letter is found that threatened other students at the school.
The threats weren't just random notes left at the school.
"It looked almost like letter writing, or writing assignment almost," said Nebo Superintendent Chris Sorensen.
School officials have asked the parents of both kids to have them go through a threat evaluation process. One student already has, they're still waiting on the parents of the other, and then punishments will be determined. Some parents hope it's more than a slap on the wrist.
"They need to understand why it's serious, and why some people take it serious, and why people don't just blow it off, because they think it's just a prank," said one parent.
"I don't think it's ever just a prank anymore. It's not just a prank, it was taken seriously," said Sorenson.
Sorensen says any student found to be a high threat risk will not be in the classroom with other students.
