SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Gov. Jon Huntsman and first lady Mary Kaye Huntsman will have to wait longer to adopt a 10-month-old girl from India.
Asha Bharati's paperwork will not be completed for at least another month because of a holiday, the governor said.
"The country comes to a screeching halt this time of year," he said.
While in China next week, the Huntsmans and their 7-year-old daughter had planned to pick up Asha at an orphanage in western India. Now they hope their seventh child will be in Utah by Thanksgiving.
"It's tandoori turkey for us," Huntsman joked, referring to an Indian food style.
