Crews are cleaning up after a massive water main break in Ogden.
The 18-inch main near 12th Street and Harrison Boulevard broke sometime last night but wasn't discovered until early this morning. The water had plenty of time to coat the trees and buildings. At one point water shot as high as 50 feet into the air.
The water also got inside a nearby Hollywood Video store. Store Manager DeEsta Pehrson says none of the videos were damaged by an inch of water that soaked the store carpets. That store was closed this morning while clean up was going on but now is open as usual.
Outside, one side of the store and trees are caked in ice. People are showing up to snap pictures of the scene. "It kind of does look like a Christmas wonderland," Pehrson said.
Another woman said, "This cold wind comes through. It creates this beautiful ice show. It's beautiful."
The water has been turned off, and the line is being repaired.
