(KSL News) -- LDS Humanitarian Services received a special honor today in Salt Lake.
The Coalition for Utah's Future honored the organization with a Common Good Award. Award organizers says through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, humanitarian services has been able to deliver over 100-thousand tons of food, blankets, medical supplies and other materials to thousands.
Presiding Bishop H. David Burton accepted the honor on behalf of the Church.
