(KSL News) The Utah Broadcasters Association has announced that all but one television station in Utah will delay the switch to digital transmission until June 12, 2009.
Those stations will continue to broadcast analog signals until that time.
Earlier this week the six local commercial stations decided to maintain the original date, Feb. 17, 2009, mandated by the federal government.
Today the owners of KTVX Channel 4 decided to keep the analog signal on until June 12. This has prompted KUTV, KSL-TV and KSTU to also delay their switch to June 12.
However KUCW, Channel 30, will make the switch on Feb. 17.
Three public stations, KUED, KUEN and KBYU-TV had already decided to wait until June 12.
