(KSL News) The woman arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing earlier this week was formally charged today.
Joy Lynn Adams, 34, is charged with murder and obstructing justice.
Salt Lake County prosecutors allege that Adams stabbed Adolph Neal, 69, in the neck on Jan. 27. He was found dead in an apartment at 320 E. 100 South.
A probable statement said Adams admitted to killing Neal during a dispute.
Police have not released a motive.
If convicted of the murder, she faces a sentence of 15 years to life in prison.
If convicted of obstructing justice, the defendant faces a possible prison sentence of 1 to 15 years.
