(KSL News) -- Lawmakers and community leaders met today to discuss helping Utah's homeless.

Workshops and lectures addressed a number of issues, including how to deal with those considered chronically homeless. Those gathered agreed that while current services are good, there is always room for improvement.

Leaders Meet to Discuss Homelessness

Gary R. Herbert, Lt. Governor of Utah: "We're doing good. We are taking it serious. As long as there is somebody who is homeless, our work is not completed."

Utah is currently working on implementing a ten year plan to end chronic homelessness in the state. About 2000 people in Utah are chronically homeless.
