SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Freshman Kyle Bullinger had 18 points and seven rebounds to lift Weber State 67-59 over Sacramento State on Thursday night.
Kellen McCoy had 15 points and Damian Lillard had eight points and six assists for the Weber State Wildcats (11-8, 5-1 Big Sky), who have won five of their last six games.
Loren Leath had 19 points in 35 minutes for the Sacramento State Hornets (1-19, 0-7 Big Sky.) The defeat extends the Hornets' losing streak to 14 games.
Sacramento led 21-18 on a basket by Alex Ward with 5:11 left in the first half.
Despite shooting 35.7 percent from the floor (10 of 28), the Wildcats came back to tie the game up 25-25 by halftime. The Hornets shot 36 percent from the field (9 of 25) in the first half.
After Antonio Flaggs turned a steal into a dunk to tie the game at 47-47 with 6:38 left in the second half, the Wildcats went on a 13-5 run to take command of the rest of the game. Bullinger made nine of the Wildcats points during the pivotal run.
