PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Wink Adams scored 22 points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds to lead UNLV to a 76-70 come-from-behind win over BYU on Wednesday night.

Tre'Von Willis added 13 points, while Darris Santee finished with 11 for the Rebels (15-4, 3-2 Mountain West).

The Cougars (14-4, 2-2) trailed UNLV early in the game before a nine-point run put them ahead 15-11. They led 43-30 at the break, but scored only five points during the first nine minutes of the second half. The Rebels took advantage of poor shooting by the Cougars, who shot only 25 percent from the field in the second half.

Jonathan Tavernari led BYU with 21 points and 13 rebounds for his fifth-career double-double. Jimmer Fredette added 19 points and Jackson Emery finished with 11.

The game marked the first time the Cougars lost back-to-back regular season games since 2005, and the first time the team has suffered back-to-back conference losses under BYU head coach Dave Rose.
