(KSL News) -- You watch it on TV every Thanksgiving, but today you can finally see a part of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in person.
Today, the 80-year-old parade will roll into the South Towne Center. It's free and open to the public. The "Macy's Parade on Parade" runs from 3 to 8 PM.
You can do everything from learning how to make your own float to flying one of the signature balloons.
Macy's is making the cross-country tour to celebrate its 80 years as an American holiday icon. Sandy is one of 23 stops in 19 states.
