(KSL News) -- A fight over a gun may have led to a Cedar City teenager shooting her mother in the face.
19-year old Lakota Plexico was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder yesterday, accused of shooting her mother during a family argument earlier in the day.
The victim said she and her daughter were fighting over a missing handgun when the girl came to her bedroom with the gun and shot her.
The bullet entered the victim's cheek and exited near her eye. She is expected to recover.
