KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- The Kansas City Wizards and Real Salt Lake fought to a wild 3-3 tie Saturday night, further complicating the playoff races in both the Eastern and Western conferences.
The Wizards moved to 9-13-8 with 35 points and are now tied for the fourth and final playoff spot with the New York Red Bulls, a 1-0 winner Saturday over the Chicago Fire.
Real Salt Lake, 10-13-7 with 37 points, remained in fifth place in the Western Conference but pulled to within two points of the Colorado Rapids for the final playoff berth.
U.S. National Team forward Josh Wolff figured in all three Wizards goals, scoring the first and assisting on goals by Scott Sealy and Jose Burciaga Jr.
Salt Lake overcame a one-goal deficit in the first half on two goals from Atiba Harris. After again falling behind 3-2, Salt Lake tied the game again on a rebound goal by Jason Kreis.
