(KSL News) -- Utah's Division of Consumer Protection fined out of state and overseas companies for sending inappropriate email solicitations to minors.
Companies in California, Kansas, Great Britain and Singapore sent emails to underage email users in Salt Lake City and Salt Lake and Davis Counties.
Officials say the emails contained ads for alcohol, online casinos and pornography.
Fines ranged from 25 hundred to 20 thousand dollars.
