A judge is upholding Midvale's right to revoke the fun at a popular night club. The city says the club has been nothing but a nuisance.

So many neighbors complained about what was happening at Salon Tropicana that Mayor Joann Seghini decided to check out the club herself. Then she went on a police ride-along.

"There were, in fact, beer bottles all through the neighborhood. There were, in fact, yards that had been destroyed because people had been urinating on the grass," Seghini said.

The city council revoked the club's ability to serve hard liquor or feature dancing and live music -- privileges that had been granted by a 2003 conditional-use permit.

Today the judge upheld the council's decision, but said the club can keep its beer license and buffet.
