Mary Richards reporting It may be the first case of alleged teacher sex abuse in Provo involving a female teacher. Roselyn Luke has been charged with six felony counts of abusing a student 15 years ago.

Provo Police Captain Rick Healy says a former student, now 27 years old, recently came forward and talked to officers, who then talked to Luke. "From what we were able to attain from both interview the county attorney's office felt there was enough information there to file the charges," said Healy.

Healey says the alleged victim was in Luke's sixth-grade class in the early nineties when he says he was abused. Luke was fired last week from Sunset View Elementary School but officers don't believe anyone else was abused too.
