In November alone, gun sales in Utah rose by roughly 9,000 compared to a year ago. They were up by close to 2,300 in October. And concealed carry permits issued in the two months combined is more than double the number in 2007.
Some people who come to gun shops are concerned that crime will go up in the poor economy and that the election of Democrat Barack Obama will mean a handgun ban. One gun rights activist says it's a very real threat.
