(KSL News) Emergency room patients at Alta View Hospital had to be moved to other parts of the hospital tonight because a pipe carrying antifreeze started leaking.
"It can pose a problem if it's ingested, but respiratory-wise, right now it's an odor. We smell it from time to time when they're cleaning out the system, but it's nothing that's posing a problem right now," Bryan Packer, with Alta View, told us.
Around 6:00 this evening, the hospital cordoned off part of its emergency room when the antifreeze that's used to keep equipment cool started to leak.
The smell stunk up the emergency room pretty bad, so officials decided to move some patients. No one was harmed.
