OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- An old railroad dining car is getting a second life as a new tourist information center.
City officials say the renovations should be completed by next month.
The car will be painted with high-adventure "Welcome to Ogden" theme and have a sign outside with directions to various city attractions.
Improvements on the exterior of the car are mostly done and work on the interior, including restrooms and a cafe, is under way. The tourism center will have space for maps, brochures and other promotional materials.
The car was donated to the city, which plans to use it as an information center primarily for out-of-town visitors who arrive at the nearby commuter rail stop.
