SCIPIO, Millard County — Two people were killed in a head-on collision in Millard County on Monday.
Just before 5 p.m., a Ford 5250 box truck was heading east on U.S. 50 a few miles south of Scipio when the truck crossed over into the westbound lanes, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. The truck crashed head-on into an eastbound motorcycle.
A 70-year-old man driving the motorcycle and a 69-year-old female passenger were both killed on impact, Utah Highway Patrol said. Their identities have not been released.
The truck driver received minor injuries. The crash is being investigated, but speed and drowsy driving are suspected as factors in the crash, the Utah Highway Patrol said.
