FARMINGTON — A 13-year-old boy on an e-bike died Friday after being hit by a vehicle, police said.
At 4:34 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of 1525 West and 600 South to the crash and found multiple people providing aid and CPR to the boy. He was taken to a hospital, where he died, Farmington police said.
"Initial reports indicate the driver was traveling north on 1525 West approaching 600 South when the collision occurred," police said in a statement. "Our hearts are broken for the family and friends of the young man and all those involved in this tragic incident."
The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
Family members identified the teen as Connor Leonard.

"He was the oldest in his family, a loving big brother, and such a sweet son and friend," according to a GoFundMe* campaign set up to help with funeral costs.
"If you knew Connor, you know how fun and adventurous he was. He had the best smile, a kind heart, and was always trying to make his friends laugh. His family is one of the most loved in our neighborhood, and it's hard to even put into words how much they mean to all of us," the site says.
