Throughout the last 100 years, few companies have appreciated the importance of quality test drives quite like the Young Automotive Group. Opportunities for customers to determine overall feel and capture a vision of their daily commute, individuals are quickly able to assess the practicality and enjoyment of a vehicle before making a decision.

Since opening Young Powersports in 2015, the business has applied their recipe for success to an industry that offers premier, off-road machines. The practices they've established — all dedicated towards creating an exceptional customer experience — have driven them to growth across three states as well as recognition from national publications like Powersports Business magazine.

That said, they've faced an obstacle during that time that has limited similar operations.

Before making a purchase, many powersports riders strive to get a feel for how a machine will handle rugged terrain. While some evaluations can be made on tarmac, nothing can speak to the quality of a vehicle like how it performs on a trail. It's for this reason that an event the company's hosting next week has captured the attention of many.

From 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Aug. 2, Young Powersports' Polaris Conquer Summer Series will provide the public with an opportunity to test drive the best that Polaris has to offer at Bountiful Canyon.

"We're looking to eliminate the barriers that have stopped people from exploring today's machines," said Nick Faulkner, general manager of Young Powersports Pleasant View. "Polaris is at the forefront of industry innovations, and anyone who has an interest in riding should see one of their new vehicles for themselves. Whether you're looking to buy or you just want something cool to do over the weekend, this is an awesome, free event to attend."

Receiving a complimentary t-shirt as well as free refreshments at the Davis County destination, riders will be given access to staple vehicles across Polaris' RZR, Ranger, General, Xpedition and Sportsman lineups. Apart from the festivities, those present will be able to enter a giveaway to win a Polaris RZR XP 1000 — a machine known for its outstanding capabilities.

Entering the competition is almost as simple as attending the event, as each individual who signs a safety waiver will receive a chance at the prize. Additionally, golden tickets that provide exclusive offers will be given to eligible riders.

"It's exciting to give a vehicle like this to a lucky individual," Faulkner said. "Today's RZR XP's are packed with amazing features that mark what's to come in our industry. The support of Polaris has played a critical role in making this series iconic, and promotions like these add to the ambiance of our events in amazing ways."

The second installment of what has become a tradition, the Conquer Summer Series began last year with rides occurring at Wilkinson Land, a track at Young Powersports Logan and Jordan River. Giving away a Xpedition, David Keim was declared as the 2024 giveaway winner.

Across their 11 franchises, Young Powersports offers Polaris vehicles at their Logan, Pleasant View, Morgan, Layton and XL Centerville dealerships as well as their locations in Burley, Idaho and Missoula, Montana.

Apart from offering side-by-sides, ATVs, Slingshots, snowmobiles and Timbersled kits from the manufacturer, Young Powersports XL Centerville and Young Powersports Logan are staple dealers for the company's Indian Motorcycle operation.

In addition to the Conquer Summer Series, Young Powersports is celebrating the opening of their new Euro destination on Riverdale Road as well as two new operations in Missoula — one of which adds Harley-Davidson to the company's list of manufacturers.

"What I love about the Conquer Summer Series is that it speaks to what's driven our growth," said Faulkner. "We're committed to not only being a great resource for customers inside of the showroom, but engaging with incredible communities of riders and being great ambassadors for the machines we carry. Polaris has a premier brand, and we love showing people the ways they've been able to innovate and raise standards across our industry."
