EAGLE MOUNTAIN — An Eagle Mountain man is facing multiple felony charges accusing him of paying a teen girl for inappropriate pictures, trading child sex abuse material online and secretly recording a woman in a store dressing room.
Jaxson Thomas Fox, 22, was charged Thursday in 4th District Court with 18 counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, a first-degree felony; and two counts of voyeurism, a class A misdemeanor.
The investigation began in March when Utah County sheriff's deputies received a tip that Fox was paying a 13-year-old girl "to send him nude and sexually explicit pictures and videos of herself," according to charging documents.
Once detectives were able to search Fox's phone, they reported finding "17 different transactions totaling $430."
They also found two videos "where he was in a changing room at a store and lowered his phone (to) record an adult female changing in the adjacent stall," the charges allege.
During a search of Fox's home, he also "admitted that a few times a week, he would trade pictures online with other users and he was particularly interested in pictures of children 13 and 14 and above," according to the charges.
Police say Fox was also investigated in 2022 for allegedly uploading child sex abuse material, but no evidence was found.
