SALT LAKE CITY — A cyclist on an electric bike was seriously injured after being hit by a truck on Redwood Road Monday morning, according to police.

The crash occurred at approximately 9:46 a.m. at 500 S. Redwood Road, Salt Lake police spokesman Brent Weisberg told KSL.com in an email. He said the cyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Redwood Road is closed between 400 South and 500 South and is expected to remain closed until about noon.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene, Weisberg said. More information was not immediately available.
