OGDEN — Beehive Meals, a fast-growing northern Utah-based freezer-meal preparation delivery service named last year among the Top 100 small business in the country, announced Thursday a new, meat-focused offering.
Inspired by the historic Ogden Union Stockyards, the company is launching Ogden Stockyards, a curated meat box brand focused on locally sourced meats for grilling, smoking and freezer storage.
"As Beehive Meals has helped thousands of families simplify dinner with slow cooker freezer meals, we saw a growing demand for a product that celebrates outdoor cooking and freezer stocking in a new way," Allyse Jackson, founder and CEO of Beehive Meals, said in statement. "Ogden Stockyards is our answer, a bold and locally focused brand built to bring people together around the grill and the table."

The company says the new brand is inspired by the historic Ogden Union Stockyards, which once served as an integral part of Utah's agriculture industry. It was also the largest livestock market west of Denver during its heyday from 1916 to 1971.
Now, Beehive Meal's Ogden Stockyards offers customers a variety of meat boxes featuring high quality beef, pork, and chicken, the company said in a statement. The meat will be delivered frozen and vacuum sealed and each box will contain cuts designed for grilling season and beyond, with marinades and seasonings included to help customers get the most out of every meal.
In Aug. 2024, Beehive Meals announced it would be expanding operations in its existing service area, providing statewide service to Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho and Nevada. The company also has plans to eventually branch out to California, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.
