SALT LAKE CITY — Local hockey fans are likely looking forward to seeing Sidney Crosby, one of the game's all-time greats, in town when the Utah Hockey Club hosts the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday.
The issue that gives SLC Puck host Austin Facer pause, though, is the fact that Crosby's name has been swirling in trade rumors lately.
The Penguins have been struggling this season; and as Crosby continues into the twilight of his career, he may be traded from the only NHL team he's played with to a Stanley Cup contender. The Avalanche are rumored to be connected to a Crosby deal, having just pulled off another big swing earlier this week.
That, and continued strong play by Utah's Clayton Keller, and an update on trademark troubles for the Hockey Club's permanent name, make up the conversation on this episode of SLC Puck!
SLC Puck! is a twice-weekly podcast on Utah's hockey scene hosted by local hockey expert Austin Facer. You can subscribe to SLC Puck's YouTube channel here.
