BEAUMONT, Texas — Led by Alexis Marmolejos' 21 points, the Lamar Cardinals defeated the Houston Christian Huskies 63-61. Andrew Holifield scored 11 points for Lamar (8-6, 3-0 Southland Conference). Bryson Dawkins finished with 20 points and eight rebounds for Houston Christian (4-10, 1-2) and Julian Mackey also scored 20 points.
