NANTERRE, France — Sarah Sjöström wasn't even supposed to swim the 100-meter freestyle at the Paris Olympics until her coaches talked her into it when the competition began. She briefly argued, then agreed. Then the five-time Olympian won at age 30, capturing her second career gold and first since the 100 butterfly in Rio de Janeiro eight years ago. She made her Olympic debut in the Beijing Games at 15.
